The design of a residence on a small hill just outside the village of Naousa, Paros, presented an inspiring challenge due to the considerable restrictions associated with the plot. The enclosed interior area is approximately 120 m², yet the spatial experience is significantly expanded through an outdoor circulation concept. All movement between the volumes occurs externally, with open courts and covered transitional zones stitching the architectural elements together and maximizing the usable living space.
The site’s panoramic 360-degree views strongly informed the layout, encouraging an outward-facing arrangement that captures the surrounding landscape. At the same time, exposure to the prevailing north winds and the desire for enhanced privacy led to the introduction of a secondary layer of free-standing exterior walls. These walls create protected pockets of outdoor living while framing and heightening the sea views, enriching the daily experience of the house.
